Dock keeps a guest list so we can tell people about gatherings on the water. This page explains what we collect when you join it, what we do with it and how to have it removed.
What we collect
When you join the guest list, we collect what you type into the form:
- Your first name, and your last name if you give it
- Your email address
- Your mobile number and ZIP code, if you choose to give them
- The kinds of gatherings you pick, anything you write in, and who you would bring
We also note the date you signed up and, when the link you followed says so, where you came from, such as Instagram.
How we use it
We use your information to invite you to gatherings, to tell you about what Dock is planning, and to decide what to host and where. If you mention hosting your own celebration or bringing a team, we may write to you about it directly.
Text messages
We text you only if you give your mobile number and tick the box agreeing to texts. Messages are about Dock gatherings and are occasional. Reply STOP at any time to stop them. Message and data rates may apply. We never share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone else for their marketing.
Who else handles it
We do not sell or rent your information. A few services hold it for us so the site and the list work:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and passes your sign-up to our list
- Airtable stores the guest list
- Google provides our email, and serves the fonts on this site
These services may process basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver their part. We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other websites.
Keeping and removing your information
We keep your information while you are on the guest list. Write to hello@thedock.life at any time to see what we hold about you, correct it, or be removed. Every email we send will also include a way to unsubscribe.
Children
The guest list is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
